Ariel Product Training Courses
Ariel Corporation offers different product training courses to meet our customers' employee needs. Designed by our Product Trainers, each course varies in topic and instruction, and consists of part classroom setting and part hands-on training. Ariel product training courses are offered free of charge to our customers and those involved with Ariel-brand gas compression equipment. Basic Product Training
This course covers the major compressor components and systems, basic compression theory, and routine compressor maintenance for those who assemble, maintain, or operate reciprocating and/or rotary screw compressor packages. This course is designed for employees new to the compressor industry and those with less than a year's experience. Compressor Mechanics School
Students will learn how to check clearances, pressure test lubrication divider blocks, packings and unloaders and manual shaft alignment. Also, covered are the Ariel Performance software, bolting and torque, lubrication, maintenance intervals, start-up checklist, and bearings. Process Compressor Basics - Reciprocating Compression for Refinery, Petrochemical and Industrial Gas Applications
This course will run two and one half days and cover the basics of reciprocating compressors used in refinery, petrochemical, industrial gas and non-lube applications, which typically require adherence to American Petroleum Institute Standard 618. The course will cover reciprocating compression theory, piston ring, packing and valve application, packing purge and vent systems and the use of compressor performance software to size and select compression equipment.
Technical School
This school will emphasize compressor design, components, operational guidelines, and limits and includes comprehensive training in use of the Ariel Performance software. Field Basic Product Training
This is an on-site version of Ariel's Basic Product Training course, which we will bring to your location! The Field Basic course will include all topics of basic compression and components, maintenance intervals, etc., required by mechanics, maintenance technicians and service operators. Training materials will be supplied by Ariel and shipped to your location prior to the start of the arranged date. Advanced planning and scheduling is required, including a Purchase Order from the host company. Parts Distributing
This course is designed for Ariel-Distributors, only. Ariel Distributors whose employees are responsible for purchasing spare parts for Ariel compressors. Students will learn the processes and policies of our Spare Parts department, shipping and the differences in parts and replacement parts. Students will learn how to navigate the "member's only" web site and how to use the Spare Parts program. Rotary Mechanics School
Our product trainers have designed a "hands-on" course for new and experienced operators, mechanics and service technicians, who are responsible for the operation and maintenance of Ariel Rotary Gear compressors. This school is open to all employees of Ariel customers who own, lease or maintain Ariel Rotary Gear compressors.
