Gas Lift

Gas lift is one form of artificial lift systems, widely used to supplement the natural formation energy, enabling the oil well to produce. Casing head gas and or associated gas is gathered, compressed and injected into the oil well casing. The injected gas then passes through gas lift mandrels and valves that are installed at various elevations of the production tubing string, lowering the hydrostatic pressure of the oil column, thus causing the oil to flow. The gas is then recovered and re-injected into the casing again. The oil produced is collected for further processing and refining.
