Rated Speed (Maximum Allowable
Rotating Speed)
Each frame has a rated (maximum
allowable rotating) speed. This is the highest allowable rotating speed
for continuous operation. The driver overspeed shutdown must be set no
higher than 10% over the rated speed of the compressor.
Some large bore cylinders are
limited to a maximum operating speed that is less than the frame rated
